Michael Lewis is an Executive Search Consultant with almost 25 years of experience across executive search, banking and real estate.
Michael advises local, national, and international clients on securing next-generation talent. He is a trusted and resourceful advisor, bringing deep executive search expertise across C-suite and senior executive recruitment. He has an extensive network across financial services and a proven track record of developing inventive strategies for sourcing and connecting with top candidates for C-suite and senior executive roles. Michael works with banks, asset managers, credit unions, fintechs, private equity firms, real estate firms and other financial institutions, from early-stage start-ups to large private and public companies.
Michael recently served as Global Head of Financial Services at Boyden Global Executive Search, leading a successful practice with 60+ Partners across the globe. Prior to Boyden, he was Managing Director, Financial Services at an executive search firm specializing in financial services, a Director at Timbercreek Asset Management, a Vice President at Raymond James Corporate Banking, and a People Manager in Commercial Real Estate at Equitable Bank (branchless, digital bank). Michael started his career at TD Bank where he worked for 10 years as a relationship manager across retail and commercial banking covering diversified industries, including manufacturing, transportation, consumer retail, financial institutions and real estate.
Michael is very passionate about people and philanthropy and has a deep curiosity to understand organizations, their culture, and their people. He has supported a number of organizations as a volunteer and mentor, including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Art Gallery of Ontario, AESC, Ferrotype Collective, the Black Opportunity Fund, Schulich Real Property Alumni Association, the Black North Initiative, Commercial Mortgage Lenders Association, Initiative for a Competitive Inner City and the McKinsey Executive Leadership Program.
Michael holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University, a BSc (Hons) from the University of Toronto and received his CFA Charter in 2011 from the CFA Institute in Charlottesville, Virginia, United States.
