Eelco is recognized in the Dutch and European market as one of the leading FMCG & Retail experts in executive search. Eelco combines 15 years senior management experience in the industry with over 10 years' executive search expertise.

Eelco is Managing Partner in Amrop's Amsterdam office and a former member of Amrop's Global Board. He is currently a member of Amrop's Nomination & Governance Committee, and an active member of the Consumer & Retail Life Sciences Practices.

Eelco is the Amrop representative at the AESC European Council.

Eelco started his career in 1988 with Procter & Gamble in The Netherlands. He subsequently held management positions at (Reckitt) Benckiser in Europe, a.o. in Italy (Sales Director) and Germany (GM). He joined Frito-Lay in 1997 as Commercial VP-Smiths Foodgroup Benelux where he was later appointed General Manager Frito-Lay Germany. His last position before joining Amrop was with Cirio-DelMonte as Managing Director for Continental Europe.

Eelco joined Amrop as Partner in November 2003 and has been Managing Partner since 2015.

Eelco holds a Masters Degree in Medicine from Leiden University, The Netherlands. With his deep experience in the industry, both large and entrepreneurial FMCG and retail companies have sought Eelco' advice and support in their search for talented (international) managers. Positions placed by Eelco vary from CEO/GM and Marketing & Sales management to experts in Finance, Supply Chain, New Media and other positions. In the Life Sciences sector Eelco works for industry-leading global companies. Searches vary from management and commercial positions to highly specialized (medical) positions.
